Milad Tower
Between the northwestern Shahrak-e Gharb and Gisha districts of Iranian capital Tehran, there exists Milad Tower, one of the most significant pieces of contemporary architectural concrete work and the most prominent structure in Metropolis Tehran which is considered as a new Iranian symbol of art, culture and civilization.
Inaugurated in 2008 after 11-year-long construction, the multi-purpose tower is decorated with the best masterpieces and Iranian art manifestations as the distinctive features of the tower compared to other world-famous towers lie in the artworks used in this complex.
Standing at 435 m (1,427 ft) from base to the tip of the antenna, the tower is the sixth tallest tower and the fourth tallest free-standing telecommunication tower in the world. It consists of five main parts: foundation, lobby structure, shaft, head structure and antenna mast.
The lobby structure with X shape columns includes the ground floor devoted to the entrance where visitors are welcomed and three floors for trade units, food courts, a cafeteria and a commercial products exhibition.
The concrete tower shaft is equipped with fast-speed elevators to take visitors to the head structure where they can enjoy both visual arts in an art gallery and all the sceneries of Tehran in the enclosed and open observation platforms which bring a unique and breathtaking experience.
Also, the big revolving restaurant on the sixth floor of the head structure in a serene and pleasant atmosphere decorated with artworks of Shahnameh, Iranian poet Ferdowsi’s masterpiece, the special VIP restaurant on the tenth floor equipped with advanced facilities and food storage, and the sky dome of the last floor situated on the central octagonal wall adorned with Iranian symbols are among the special features of the tower, making visitors have enjoyable moments.
Furthermore, the two-floor International Convention Center next to Milad tower provides exclusive conference rooms with unique facilities for the capacity of 1600 people and luxurious exhibition space. A top sport field based on world standards and a nice restaurant next to the field both in covered and uncovered spaces located lower than the surface of the earth are among the other features of the center, providing a memorable pleasure.
